Today we're going to take a look at the mini light bar from Buyers Products, and this amber and clear colored light bar is going to be a great and handy tool to have. Some common uses for it might be if you're a snow plower, if you might be a landscaper, tow truck, or another use might be if you're the lead or the follow in a wide load situation.Really, if you just want to be visible . you want to let people know that you're currently working, or they need to get around you, and to keep their distance. This is going to be a great tool for that.Now this light bar is going to have 56 LED diodes. This is going to very bright, and it's certainly going to catch people's eye, and just make sure that they can see you.
It's also going to have 10 different flash patterns, so it's pretty customizable to whatever you need it to be.Knowing that all, we can take a closer look at the light. We're going to have a clear housing. It's going to have a black top on it. And you can really get a good look at those 56 LED diodes all the way around it. And now as you saw, this is a very bright light.
It's going to catch people's attention.Now you do have a couple of different mounting options. The one we're currently using is the magnetic mount that is on the bottom of it. Go ahead and flip it over for you so you can see. We have these four magnets, two right here, two down here. We're also going to have a nice rubber casing around those magnets to make sure it doesn't harm or scratch the finish of your truck.
Of your vehicle.Now another option you have to mount it . I'm going to go ahead and set this down. Is to use the included hardware to permanently mount it. Basically what you would do is take the magnets off, set these foam pads in its place, and use the included hardware to drill it and bolt it down onto your roof.Now if that's something you would like to do, just keep in mind you do have to do some drilling into the top of the vehicle.Now, it's going to draw its power using the 12 volt accessory outlet in your vehicle. It's also going to have a 15 foot power cord.
So no matter where you want to mount it on your roof, you should be able to reach that outlet. We have it coming down our passenger side because we just don't want it to get tangled up in our steering wheel, or fall down to our pedals, or anything like that. Just kind of thinking of safety with that.I'll go ahead and plug it in, show you how it works. Once you plug it in, you're going to have two switches on the back of your plug. The bottom one with that red light is going to be the on and off switch, so once we flip that on you're going to see a red light comes on letting you know the light bar is currently on. And it's using its flash pattern.The switch to your flash pattern is to whatever you want it to be. It's this top switch right here. So once we press that once, it's going to switch to pattern. Then you can just flip through to find the one that you want. Then when you're all done, flip the switch. That light goes off letting you know the light bar is not currently on.Now a few things I really like about this light is that, one, you have that magnetic mount option. I personally want to be able to take it off of my vehicle when I'm done using it. Now it's got a pretty low profile so you can kind of store it under your seat, wherever you feel is best. Then you're going to be able to access it when you need it.The other thing is that it's got the LED diodes rather than incandescent bulbs . which they make great replacements. LEDs are just going to be a lot brighter. They're going to last longer. And it's not going to draw as much energy to stay lit up as an incandescent bulb would. So you're not going to have to worry about your battery going out if you are running this with the vehicle off.Thank you all for watching.
