We have two trailer hitch receivers for the 2008 Subaru Forester. The Curt # C12038 and Draw-Tite # 36311 and they both install without any drilling. I've linked install videos for both of them for you.
If you're going to be towing a trailer with your Subaru use # 118461 for wiring. This harness installs by plugging into a connector that is located either behind the driver's side tail light or in the spare tire compartment. Once installed you'll have a fully functioning 4-way trailer connector.
For a ball mount the Curt # C45503 will provide up to either 3/8 inches of rise or 1 inch of drop. Then use # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball or # A-82 for a 2 inch. If this isn't the correct rise or drop you need I've linked our selection of Class II ball mounts as well as an article to help you determine the correct one.
Finally, for a pin and clip use # F-4.
