In a few product categories, brake controllers being one, there can be a brand and product that is so easy to recommend that it requires no long deliberation. Use either the Prodigy P2 # 90885 or the P3 # 90195 brake controller from Tekonsha.
Easily the most reliable and user-friendly options out there, these two controllers both share the same internal technology and proven reliability. If not, then the P2 # 90885 will give you the same basic performance without the extra features.
