Tire Chain Recommendation for Deep Snow Tire Size 235/80-17
Question:
I am seeking snow chains/cables for the front and/or rear of 2012 GMC 3500HD 4WD dually with a flat-bed and 235 80R 17 tires. I am a volunteer EMT/firefighter at 9,000foot in the Rockies. Occasionally deep snow and icy roads are a problem. Ease of installation and operation of the chains/cables is a priority. Please advise on your recommendations.

For dependable deep traction I would choose the Pewag # PWE2228SC tire chains featuring all square chain links for an excellent bite into the road, and cam buckles for easy tightening. These will install pretty fast using the drive-on method.
