Would ComeUp Winch CU644512 Pull 4,500 lb Vehicle into Trailer

Question:

I own a 2015 24foot ATC enclosed car trailer with a concealed winch compartment. I was going to order a Superwinch S5000 winch for it but, unfortunately, they are no longer available and have been superceded by the S5500 model. The new model is significantly larger than the previous model, especially the length. The winch compartment also includes a pulley post to guide the cable above the floor. I know the old S5000 model would fit the compartment as I have seen photos of the same trailer with that winch installed. I cannot use the new model. In looking thru the available winches at etrailer, it appears the ComeUp DV-4500i comes closest to matching up with the old Superwinch S5000 from a dimensional perspective. The ComeUp model does not have the pulling capacity of the Superwinch. It is approximately 90 of the Superwinch. The trailer has a beavertail ramp door on the rear. I use it for hauling cars that will typically weigh under 4500 lbs and most usually under 4000 lbs. I anticipate they will always have free rolling tires. Can you provide a recommendation for the ComeUp winch for my application? Also, please offer some advice regarding nylon rope versus steel cable. Thanks.

The ComeUp DV-4500i Utility Winch # CU644512 would work well for you and have more than enough capacity since it has a 3,500 lb rated line pull.

Which if you check out the chart I attached you will see that the amount of weight this winch can pull into a trailer depending on the angle of the ramps.
