Is Frame Hole Filing Required to Install Draw Tite Hitch on a 2014 Ford Escape
Question:
On our 2014 Ford Escape titanium, will it be necessary to enlarge/file screw holes in the frame or not? Reviews: some suggest not others do..

Most likely yes but since we have found that some frames just happen to be large enough to fit the carriage bolt and spacer without the filing it's hard to say for certain. We can say that filing will make fitting the two easier so it won't hurt.
I attached an install video for this hitch on a very similar 2014 Escape as yours where we did do the filing.
