Recommended Bike Carrying Option for Fifth Wheel Trailer

Can the Thule Doubletrack bike rack be used on a fifth wheel camper? If not, why?

Expert Reply:
Thule specifically mentions that the DoubleTrack is not to be used on a towed trailer. The primary reason for this is that a rack installed on a towed trailer will experience much more shaking and jarring than it would if installed on a vehicle. This particular rack is not designed to safely withstand that kind of punishment.
We do however offer many different bike racks that are designed for use on the rear of a towed trailer, I will provide you a link to our selection of bike racks suitable for use on your fifth wheel trailer.
The Swagman Dispatch, part # S44FR, is a similar rack that would be a great choice, it is compatible for use on the rear of a towed trailer. The rack includes a cable lock and an anti-rattle hitch lock. I will provide a link to our product demonstration video for the Dispatch.
