Troubleshooting Brake Controller Installation Where ABS Light Comes on Dash of Vehicle
Question:
I hooked my brake box up according to the wire diagram but I do not have the pig tail so I ran the black to hot,red to brake pedal, blue to 7 way, and white to ground and the green light is staying on all the time until the brake pedal is pressed and my abs and brake light in the dash are on and staying on

The issue is the wire you attached the red wire of the controller to. Sounds like you attached it to the wrong circuit of your brake pedal switch wiring. You need to find the circuit there that only sees voltage when the brakes are applied and then none when released. That is the circuit that will allow the controller to work and will prevent the error codes you are seeing on your dash.
