Will Wesbar Coiled Adapter 787196 work with 4-Way

this product is from 5-way flat to 7-way. My truck only has 4-way flat which would leave one pin open from 4 to 5. Will this product still work? Traveling really long distance to pick up a trailer. Thanks

Since your truck has a 4-way and your trailer a 7-way you actually would want the part # 37185 as the 4-way of the # 787196 is the wrong side for a truck.
