Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for 2014 Ram 2500 Short Bed That Leaves Bed Empty

Question:

Im looking into buying a 5th wheel and I want to run your gooseneck box on it. The problem I think I might have is I might hit the cab of the truck if I need to make a sharp turn. I have been told that I should run a sliding 5th wheel hitch setup but I like having the free space that a gooseneck gives me in the bed of my truck.

What would serve you best is an under-bed style fifth wheel rail kit. That way you'll get the free truck bed when the hitch isn't installed and you'll get the turning clearance when needed as well.

Best option we have for your 2014 Ram 2500 is the B and W Companion Slider part # BWRVK3500-5W and then the rail kit part # BWGNRK1384-5W.

When you remove the hitch from the bed you would get a totally empty truck bed.
