Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer with a Pop Up Gooseneck Ball in a 2001 Ford Super Duty
Question:
I have a Pop Up Retractable Ball Hitch, It has a its own style of ball. By that I mean it not like the other Flip Over or hide ball styles in the way it is held in place to the hitch. Anyways, is there a 5th Wheel hitch that will mount or attach to a ball. Looking for a Hitch like the BandW Companion but doesnt require the replacement of the ball with a adapter.

I do have a solution for you but it might not be what you expect. You can use the Andersen Ultimate Ranch Hitch # AM3100. It will clamp around a standard 2-5/16 inch diameter gooseneck ball of any brand. I have included a link to a video review of this adapter for you.
