Is it a perfect fit for 2001 2500HD silverado

Expert Reply:
Curt trailer hitch # C15302 is custom fit for a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed with a factory bumper. There is no drilling required for installation. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK2416. It comes with a ball mount with a 3 inch rise or 4 inch drop, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
If your truck does not have a trailer connector already you can add a 4-Way flat using # C59496 or a 7-Way using # PK11898.
