Will the Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Electric Stabilizer with Dual Motors Level a Tandem Trailer Camper

Question:

Hi, About my trailer: Travel trailer Bumper pull Tandem Axles 28 feet long, not including the tongue Weighs about 8,000 lbs, when loaded I am interested in this product because I would like to level my trailer side to side, without having to back up onto little ramps, on one side, etc. As far as installing it, my main concern is frame twist. Below are a few options Im considering, for installing these jacks. Could you please tell me, for each, if they seem like they will work, or if it would work if I changed a couple of things? Feel free to add option 4, if Im headed in the wrong direction! Which would be the best option? Thank you, very much, for your help! Kendell 1 If I have two of these units, it seems I would level the trailer front to back, using the tongue jack. Lower the 4 feet until they each make contact with the ground. Then, lower the two feet on the low side of the trailer, at the same time, to level it side to side. If put all of the feet down so they touch the ground, and then, on the low side, just jack up the front or back, by itself, it seems like it would twist the frame. 2 If I just install a single unit right behind the wheels. Then, I could just jack up the low side to level it, side to side. Then, put the other foot down to help with stabilization. Use the tongue jack to level front to back. And lower the old jacks, that are already on the trailer, for additional stabilization. This would get the jacks close to the center of the frame, which seems like it would prevent frame twist. 3 Install two units, one close to the front and one close to the back. Then, just lower one foot... the one on the back of the trailer, on the low side, to level the trailer side to side. Then, lower the other three feet to the ground for stabilization. This one seems like it might create twist, though... Im not sure.

The Ultra Fab Leveler jacks part # UF39-941705 are designed for exactly what you are looking to do. To level and stabilizer your trailer.

First you want to be on as level of ground as possible. Then use the jack at the front of the trailer to level it front to back. Next you would lower the feet of the stabilizers on the low side of the trailer first till the trailer sits as level as possible. Next lower the other side of the trailer's legs to then support it. If you lower them all at the same time the system would end up fighting itself when you went to level the trailer.

You do not want to install a second set on the front of the trailer. You will want to use one set behind the rear axles somewhat close to the axle so that it wouldn't twist the frame.
