Reese Cargo Carrier Part # 63153 Interfering with Tailgate on 2006 GMC Canyon Pickup
Question:
Would like to put this on my GMC Canyon 4x4 pickup. Have a 2 Class 111/1V hitch which is about 2 indented under the bumper not flush with edge of bumper. If I put this on would I still be able to open up the tail gate. If not, is there a better carrier I should choose. Thanks for your help.

When installed in the receiver, the highest point of the Reese 24x60 Railed Cargo Carrier # 63153 is about 8 inches above the shank that slides into the receiver.
Since I cannot say with certainty how far below the tailgate your receiver falls on your Canyon, if you would hold a measuring tape even with the top of the receiver opening and measure up 8 inches, you should be able to determine whether the carrier would interfere with opening your tailgate fully.
