Can the etrailer.com 20x60 Folding Cargo Carrier, # e98874, Be Used on the Back of a Camper

Will this carrier work on the back of a camper trailer? We have a 2008 Gulf Stream AmeriLite with a 2 hitch on the back. The spare tire is mounted above the hitch. Thanks.

You can use the 20x60 Folding Cargo Carrier, # e98874, on the back of your 2008 Gulf Stream AmeriLite but since it will be on the back of a trailer, there will be significantly more bouncing and jostling, than if it were on the back of the tow vehicle,especially for a folding carrier. You will have to make sure the cargo is secure to the rack. This carrier comes with an anti-rattle device to reduce movement.

The carrier measures 19-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the carrier railing when folded down. When folded, the carrier measures 9-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the carrier rail. You will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the spare tire to see if the carrier will have enough clearance to fit when folded.
