Does Curt Trailer Hitch C11474 have a Different Capacity if the Trailer has Brakes
Question:
Good Day, please can you tell me what is the braked limit on the towbar?
asked by: Claire C
Expert Reply:
The Curt trailer hitch # C11474 is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight regardless of whether or not the trailer has brakes. The tow vehicle or your local area may have restrictions, but the hitch does not. Consult the vehicle owner's manual to see what it is rated for.
The recommended ball mount is # 3593. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19257 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for trailer wiring you can use # 118667 to add a 4-Way connector to the rear of the vehicle.
