I HAVE A 5TH WHEEL HITCH THAT MOUNTED TO RAILS IN MY 2003 F-250 ,IHAVE ORDERED A 2011 F-350 WITH HITCH PREP,WILL MY HITCH MOUNT TO THIS NEW PREP MOUNT. THANKS,

There is a mounting adapter available you can use to mount your existing fifth-wheel hitch in your 2011 Ford F-350 with underbed hitch prep package. Checkout the Reese Rail Kit Mounting Adapter, part # RP30156. This adapter will allow you to mount non-elite series fifth-wheel hitches to hitch prep option in your Ford F-350.

Before this adapter was available, the Elite Series hitches were the only hitches that would work with the hitch prep option from Ford. The reason is because the hitch prep option has pucks that are designed to allow only Elite Series hitches be installed onto them.

The Patriot fifth wheel heads and the Companion hitch heads are different enough that they are not interchangeable. If you need a Companion head you'd want the part #BWRVC3006 or if you want a Patriot hitch head you'd want the #BWRVC3200.

Functionally they are the same as they have the same jaw design, but they do attach differently so they are not interchangeable. The Patriot head replacement is the part #BWRVC3200 and the Companion head replacement is #BWRVC3006.
