How to Determine if Weight Distribution System is Set Up Properly On New Truck
Question:
I have a 2013 keystone bullet premier 22rbpr. I pulled it with a 2014 Toyota Tacoma extra cab 5 ft bed. I just received my 2016 Tacoma same style and have had trouble with pulling it. How do I determine how to see if the weight distribution is aligned correctly. Height of ball and hitch ect. It seems there is a difference in the height between the two years. Thank you so much.

When installing a weight distribution system on a new vehicle you will want to basically run through the entire setup procedure so that you can make sure you have the correct amount of spring bar tension in the system.
The goal with an Equalizer weight distribution system is to get the distance from the ground to the wheel well half way back to the unloaded height when compared to the height of the vehicle with trailer connected.
So if the distance was 30 inches unloaded and then 28 inches loaded the target is 29 inches with the bars installed.
You also want to make sure that your trailer is also setting as level as possible too.
