Do TrailAir Pin Boxes Require Lowering Pressure During Storage

Question:

Lippert pin boxes dont mention this that I can see but the other model says if idle more than a week, you should relieve the air pressure . Did I miss something on the Lippert literature about this ? I am ready to purchase one of these and would like to know about the air relieving, thank you

You wouldn't need to remove any air from a Trailair like the part # LC155943 while storing it. Just be sure to check to make sure the pressure is correct when you go to tow again. The air system of this pin box is very heavy duty and lowering the pressure would not be needed.

As with most air bag support devices you want to always have at least the minimum pressure rating in the bag at all times. So no lower than 20 psi.

From the picture you submitted you have a Lippert 1116 pin box which this model is a fit for.
