Can a Dirt Bike and Carrier be Carried on the Front of a 2015 Ford F-150

Question:

Is this hitch set up long enough to slide in a dirt bike carrier receiver and load a dirt bike? It works just fine in the rear receiver but wanted to make sure that it would be far enough out with the front. Thanks!

The receiver on the Draw-Tite front mount hitch # 65067 is plenty long enough for the shank of a dirt bike carrier. And it is open at the back so if there wasn't anything behind the hitch (which there will be since it is mounted on a vehicle!) a long enough shank could go all the way through.

I would not worry about the carrier clearing the front of the truck either because dirt bike carriers stick out pretty far. And when this hitch is installed on a 2015 Ford F-150 the face of the receiver is just about flush with the front bumper.

The hitch is rated for 500 pounds vertical load so the combined weight of the dirt bike and carrier cannot exceed that. You also want to avoid overloading the front axle (check the capacity for the front axle using the placard in the driver's side door jamb).

And finally, having anything mounted at the front of a vehicle can decrease driver visibility, block the front lights on the truck, and can reduce airflow to the motor. So keep those things in mind.
