Availability of 7-Way Trailer Wiring Harness for 2015 Honda Pilot
Question:
Can I install this on my 2015 Pilot without a factory tow package. I will not need a brake controller, just plan to tow a small boat. I just need the brake and turn signal lights to work.

The Tow Ready # 118265 is indeed compatible with all models of the 2015 Honda Pilot. Once the plug and play installation is complete, you'll have a fully functional 7-way trailer connector that will operate all the lighting on your trailer. At some time in the future, should you want to tow a trailer that's equipped with electric or electric over hydraulic brakes, you can install a brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 using the # 3070-P brake controller wiring adapter. If you needed to tow a trailer with a 4-pole connector, you'd just use an adapter like # PK12716.
If your boat trailer only needs a 4-pole connector, and you have no future plans whatsoever to towing something that uses a 7-way, you could simply install the Tow Ready # 118558.
