Troubleshooting Brake Controller that Stopped working with Brake Pedal on Chevy Silverado
Question:
I have no electric trailer brakes when stepping on pedal, I do have juice and brakes when sliding the manual knob. Everything was fine until a few days ago. it was wired by selling dealer when new, I did try to swap out controllers but still same problem. Thank you

The problem is the red wire of your brake controller. It isn't connected to a circuit that sees 12 volts of power when the brakes are applied. Since your truck is a 2009 Chevy Silverado this would mean that the problem is most likely a blown third brake light (CHMSL) fuse.
An easy way to test this theory is to check to see if your third brake light is working. If it's not the fuse is the problem.
