Typically the components that are included to make a vehicle considered a tow package are a trailer hitch and wiring. We do have exactly what you will need to outfit your 2009 Ford Flex for just that.
First lets start with the hitch, I recommend the 2 inch Draw-Tite Hitch # 75679, because it will fit whether you have a the dual exhaust or not and will not require you to use a stabilization strap like many Curt hitches do for non-trailer loads. I have linked an installation video of this hitch being installed on your same model for you to check out.
The T-One Wiring Harness that will give you a 4-way plug at the rear of your Flex is # 118472. We have also installed this on your same vehicle, I have linked the video for you to check out.
Some additional components you will need before being able to tow a trailer are a ball and ball mount. These will depend on the trailer's coupler ball size and the coupler's height. See attached Help Article. Since we've installed the recommended hitch on the same year and model vehicle we know that the hitches receiver height you will need for this equation is 12-3/4 inches.
I have linked all the above mentioned products to this page for your purchasing convenience.
