Best Air Springs for 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty While Towing a Fifth Wheel Trailer

Question:

I need some suspension help. My 5er weighs close to 20K and my back end sags when towing, what would be a good option for me? I only tow a handful of times each year, but I also carry stuff for work in the truck, so something that could help year round would be great.

A great option for your 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty is the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2703. These air springs are going to help you with your sagging issue when carrying a heavy load like your fifth wheel by allowing you to adjust the ride by adding air to the springs. Then when you're not pulling as much weight you can decrease the air pressure and prevent the rough hard ride you may get from other suspension enhancement systems.

I've attached a video of the Ride-Rite Springs being installed on a 2012 F-350 which should be pretty similar to yours.

You may also be interested in the Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge w/ Standard-Duty Compressor # F2158 in order to adjust the air pressure in the Ride-Rite springs from the cab of your truck just by flipping a switch. No reason to stop and find an air station.

There's a video of the Air Command being installed on a 2015 F-350 for you as well.

One issue that you can run into while installing the systems is cutting the air line tubing. The cuts needs to be smooth and straight which can be difficult to do and if not done well will cause leaks. A solution to this is a Tubing Cutter # AL10530.
