Would a Hitch from a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan fit a 2005 Grand Caravan
Question:
Is the Class III hitch for the 2000 Grand Caravan and the Class III hitch for the 2005 Grand Caravan the same hitch? I bought the hitch for the 2000 and am now selling that van and bought a 2005. I want to swap the hitch if it is the same one.

The hitch that fits a 2000 Doge Caravan like the # 87717 that you referenced only fits up to 2004 Grand Caravans.
You would need to go with the part # 75119 for if you do not have the Stow n Go seats or part # 75305 for if you do.
For trailer wiring you would want the part # 118300.
If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
