Roof Cargo Box Recommendation for 2016 Acura MDX Confirmed to Allow Rear Hatch to Open

Question:

I see where someone previously asked about a good cargo box for a 2016 MDX. The reply was the Thule 628 was a confirmed fit. However, the Thule site shows the distance from the front crossbars to the rear hatch as needing to be 47 1/2 inches. However, that distance actually measures at 45 inches. Is that extra 2 1/2 inches going to be an issue? Or is it possible to adjust the box a bit on the crossbars so the hatch clears?

I have a much better roof cargo box that I can recommend for your 2016 Acura MDX than the # TH6357B as it would be too long to clear.

The Thule Pulse M part # TH614 is going to fit well as it has a front clearance distance of 42-5/8 inches which would allow your hatch clearance.

I found the question page you referred to and it was recommended that he measure to determine if the clearance was there but he didn't give him the 45 inch measurement like you did which I appreciate!
