Recommended Transportation of Motorcycle and Boat Trailer with a 2003 Ford F-350 Long Bed Diesel
Question:
Hi, I have a ford f350 long bed diesel. I am researching a hitch carrier for motorcycle. I will use the bike to shuttle for fishing trips so I have to pull a boat/trailer. I live near Jackson Hole, WY and travel through wyoming, utah, nebraska, montana, and idaho. I didnt see a carrier for the rear of the truck with a receiver for the boat/trailer. Not sure how the front carrier mounts. Thanks for any help,

I do have a solution for you, but there aren't any motorcycle carriers that also are capable of towing a trailer.
The best solution is for you to transport your motorcycle in the bed of your truck with some ratchet straps like # EM05710 and to help load it with a ramp like # EM07464. Then tow your boat trailer with a ball mount and ball. To determine the correct ball mount needed for your trailer you will need to take a few quick measurements. I have linked a Help Article on how to do this for you to check out. The correct ball mount and ball will also depending on your receiver size and boat trailer coupler size. For example, if you have a 2 inch hitch and need a 2 inch drop for a 2 inch coupler with a trailer weight of 5,000lbs; a ball mount and ball that would be good for you is the # C45036. If you instead have a 2-1/2 inch hitch you would want the # C45456 with the # A-90 ball.
I have linked all the above mentioned products as well as a few helpful links to this page for your convenience.
