Do all Trailer Brake Assemblies Wear Out at the Same Time
Question:
I have a two axle four wheel Air Stream. Which brakes usually get more wear and wear out sooner - the brakes on the front axle or the brakes on the trailing axle? And would it be OK to replace the total brake assembly on just the two front wheels or two rear wheel, whichever wears more? Thanks for your help.

The brake assemblies of all axles should wear at the same rate assuming they are all adjusted the same. All of the wheels would be spinning at the same speed and if the brakes are all applying the same braking pressure they would all wear out at the same time.
If any of the assemblies are worn then most likely they all are worn, but if you check the condition of all of them and only a few are worn out somehow you would only need to replace the worn out assemblies.
