Question:

I am looking to replace my travel trailer with two LED RV Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn - Red Lens White Base code RVSTL0060 and RVSTL0061 with 3 wires. Right now I have incandescent lights with 2 wires hookup to the trailer, where does the 3rd wire go and how will this effect hooking up my lights. Thank you

It sounds like your current lights with 2 wires ground to the trailer by the mounting hardware. The One LED RV Passenger Tail Light # RVSTL0060 has three wires, the white wire is the ground, the black wire is the taillight and the green wire is for your stop lights and turn signals. To hook up your lights you will need to splice together the taillight and stop/turn wires. Then you will need to take the white wire and ground it to the trailer itself.

To ground your wire you will want to use a ring terminal # DW05702-1 and a self tapping screw # 101131802 and find or make a clean bare metal surface on the trailer's frame to attach the ground wire. This will complete the circuit and allow for the trailer light to work properly.

You will install the One LED Driver Side RV Tail Light # RVSTL0061 in the same manner.

I attached a review video of the Optronics Trailer Lights you may want to check out. I also attached an installation video of a 3 wire trailer tail light you may want to look at. It is not the same light, but you can get an idea of how you will install # RVSTL0060 on your trailer.
