Wheel Tire Combo For 2003 Jayco Qwest Camper

Question:

I have a 2003 Jayco Qwest camper and need to replace the tires and rims as they are all rusted. I was looking at the Provider ST205/75R15 tires with new white spoke wheels. Code #TTWA15R5WS. Can you tell me if they will fit on my camper?

In order to determine the proper wheel/tire size for your camper, you would need to consider the following:

Original tire size/load rating- Although I was unable to find the actual tire size on the Jayco website, I saw that a load range C tire is recommended and that either a 12 or 13 inch wheel was used, depending on the Qwest model. You'll want to choose tires whose combined load rating exceeds the weight of the camper and its contents.

It's best to stay with the original wheel/tire size because going with a larger diameter wheel/tire can cause clearance problems between the tire and the underside of the fender or the wheel well. A smaller diameter tire can have a negative effect on the ground clearance. A 15 inch wheel like that used on the # TA43ZR wouldn't offer enough clearance to work.

Wheel Bolt Pattern- To ensure that the wheel used is compatible with your hubs, you'll need to choose the proper wheel bolt pattern. I've linked you to an FAQ article that shows how to determine the wheel bolt pattern.

If you can reply with the exact Jayco Qwest model you have (8U, 10B, 10X or 12A), the original tire size and the bolt pattern of your existing wheels, I'd be glad to make a wheel/tire package recommendation.
