Im a little confused about the brake controller. I have a 2WD honda pilot 2011 pre-wired for trailer harness. Will the 90195 controller be what I need along with the wiring harness?

I can help clarify the parts you will need to install a 7-Way trailer connector and the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195. Your 2011 Honda Pilot is pre-wired from the factory to make installing these components easier.

For a 7-Way wiring harness and all of the components needed to make the harness fully functional you can use the Tekonsha Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118253. This kit includes all of the fuses and relays needed to provide you with a working 7-Way trailer connector at the rear of your Pilot. This wiring harness also provides the 20 AMP fuse needed to power the brake controller. I've attached an installation video of this wiring harness for you, as well as the installation instructions.

The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 is a great, top of the line trailer brake controller that will work well for you. In order to install this brake controller, you will also use the Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 3070-P. This wiring adapter will plug in at the back of the brake controller on one end, and the other end will plug in to a port located under the dash and left of the steering column, taped to another harness. The port under the dash will match the shape of the gray connector on the # 3070-P harness. The installation instructions for both the brake controller and plug-in adapter are linked for you as well.

If you are interested in doing some towing and will need a ball mount, a great option is the Ball Mount Kit for 2 Inch Hitches # 989900. This kit includes a ball mount with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and another ball mount with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. Also included are a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball and 2 inch hitch ball, as well as a pin and clip and storage bag.
