2 Kayak Carrier for a 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon that Allows 60 lbs Per Kayak
Question:
Considering this plus expansion for 2015 Subaru Outback wagon with factory roof rack, to use with 2 kayaks. Two questions: 1 Is there a way to carry a second kayak paddle like the first as shown and 2 What would be the weight limit for each of my yet-to-be-purchased kayaks? My guess factory roof rack capacity 150lbs, less 15 lbs for S512 and another 8lbs for expansion rack pair gives me 150-15-8= 127 lbs, so 2 kayaks up to 60 lbs apiece? That would work well, many kayaks under 50lbs.

When using the expansion # RRS512X with the # S512 you end up losing the ability to carry the paddle on the backside of the carrier since the other kayak would be there.
Your math is accurate as long as your roof capacity is 150 lbs like you mentioned. You would need to verify that in the owners manual to be certain. From the research I did it looks like you are correct and you do have a 150 roof capacity on your 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon.
