Trailer Lighting Requirements and Pedestal Mount Light for a Horse Trailer
Question:
I have a red/black light pedestal mount for a horse trailer. I can only find red amber on your site. I was told it might be illegal to have the amber facing oncoming traffic. How can I find that out?

There are different lighting requirements for different trailers. I have included a link to our help article that covers trailer lighting requirements. Usually you see pedestal mount lights such as # ST52RB on agricultural trailers. There appears to be different laws in different states so I would check with your local DMV or State Highway Patrol to determine what it is in your area.
It sounds like the lights you have are similar to # ST51RB. If this is not the light you are looking for we do have other pedestal mount options and I have included a link to them for you.
