Recommended Trunk Mount 2-Bike Carrier For 2013 Toyota RAV4

Question:

Hello, I need a two bike over the trunk bike rack for a 2013 Rav 4, ideally less then 200. I know there are several thule racks including the passage, gateway and archway that would work for this car. I am very nervous about the plastic piece on the back of the car being able to support the bikes. Which rack do you think is hte best? I am open to Yakima or other brands as well.

We do offer several bike racks that are designed to fit your RAV4 that will hold 2 bikes that weigh up to 35-lbs each.

I recommend the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top Bike Carrier for Vehicles w/ Spoilers, part # HRF2. The upper frame of this bike rack extends up and over the spoiler of your RAV4.

Another rack I recommend is the Yakima FullBack, part # Y02634. This 2-bike lightweight carrier weighs just 21 lbs and has a weight capacity of 35-lbs for each bike. It uses 4 straps with hooks and cam buckles to secure it to the back of your vehicle instead of 6 straps that so many bike racks use.
