How To Determine Correct Drums And Brakes For Boat Trailer
Question:
Im looking to buy baking plates and drums for my boat trailer. My bolt pattern is 5, drums are approximately 10 1/4inch diameter. How do I tell the axial weigh requirements? I tow a 20foot Sea ray with a single axial trailer.

You may have a sticker or a plate on the axle that tells you what the weight capacity is for your axle.
If you cannot find it you can remove the wheel and hub on your trailer and check out the bearing and seal. I have attached a photo that shows where you can typically find the numbers. If you still cannot find the numbers you can use a digital caliper like part # PTW80157 and measure the trailer spindle in the noted locations on the attached photo.
Once you get the numbers you can check out the product pages I linked to find the right parts you need or you let me know the measurements and I can make some recommendations that will work for you.
