Roof Box With Rear Hatch Clearance for 2007 Honda Pilot

Question:

What Thule roof boxes for a 2007 Honda Pilot with Thule sqaure crossbars do you recommend? Ideal I would like something that allows us to still open the rear hatch. Thanks

The best place to start would be to determine what kind of rear hatch clearance you need. To find this measurement, measure from the middle of the front crossbar (move it all the way forward if it's moveable) rearward to the seam between the roof and the top of the rear hatch.

Then, look at the chart I've posted for you. The last column has a heading that's titled Front Clearance. If the measurement you took is greater than the front clearance measurement for a given box, then that box will fit and allow enough clearance to allow you to open the rear hatch.

For instance, the Thule Force XT, part # TH6358B has a front clearance measurement of 51-1/8 inches. If your measurement is greater than 51-1/8 inches, the # TH6358B Force XT will fit perfectly on your Honda Pilot.
