Recommended Parts to Install 6-Pole Round Trailer Socket on 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I have a 2006 jeep Cherokee without a tow package. My trailer has a 6pole connector. I have a socket for the 6pole for my jeep I just need the wiring from the jeep to the socket and I do not see a wire kit with the 6pole socket. What wiring kit do you recommend for my setup that can be converted to 6pole?

Expert Reply:
To have a 6-pole round-pin type trailer socket on your 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee I suggest our complete kit # ETBC6. This kit includes a 6-pole socket and all of the other components needed to have a working 6-pole trailer socket on your Grand Cherokee. Since I do not know what type of 6-pole socket you have it is best to stick with the complete kit to ensure everything will fit together properly.
I have linked an installation video for our similar # ETBC7 (7-way) kit that will show you the entire installation process. The vehicle will need to have a working 4-pole connector in order to install the kit; use part # 118394.
