Brake Controller and Install Recommendation for a 2013 Chevy Suburban

Question:

Hello, I am looking to buy a brake assist for my 2013 Chevy Suburban. I have the factory tow package installed in it, the 7 way connector. I looked at the videos section and only saw a video to install one on a 2011 Checy Suburban Is it the same for the 2013? I plan on doing this myself, I am just curious if there is something I dont know about installing it. I am looking at the Tekonsa P3 brake controller as this makes the most sense for what I am going to tow. I am towing a travel trailer from Alaska to Kansas. Any suggestions you have will be most helpful in me making this purchase. You all are a class A shop and I have learned a lot already. Thank you for your time.

The install video that you mentioned (that is also attached) would describe the install process of a P3 part # 90195 perfectly for your 2013 Suburban. The video shows a 2011 but there would be no difference on your 2013.

The P3 is an excellent brake controller that I would highly recommend. It has one of the most advanced inertia sensors plus a full display that uses full words to display what is happening with the controller. In the video is the similar P2 which is the same thing for the most part but without the advanced display.
