If you were using the Reese Ram Rail Kit Adapter part # RP30154 in your 2016 Ram 2500 that would mean you have the factory rail kit that would have a gooseneck hitch in the middle of the bed.

While this adapter would allow for access to the gooseneck ball it would not be recommended to leave it installed while towing the gooseneck trailer since the adapter fits into the pucks that the safety chains would install into. You will need to use the safety chains so you would want to remove the # RP30154.

If you need the gooseneck ball and safety chain loops for your truck bed you would also want the part # C60618.
