What Has to Be Removed to Install the Andersen Ultimate Safety Chains
Question:
I already have the Anderson coupler hitch part # AM3225 installed with this chain do I have to remove the coupler from the trailer completely to install or can I just remove the two bolts and just replace with the two eye bolts?

I attached a set of very detailed instructions for the Andersen safety chain kit part # RM3230 that you referenced.
Basically you will have to remove the block that attaches to the king pin of your trailer so that you can remove the two coupler bolts that hold it to the king pin and replace with the bolts that come with this kit that have the loops for the safety chain attachment.
I attached a review video for this kit as well.

If I wanted to use the U-bolts to connect the end of the safety chain to the pop-up attachment points in my truck bed, and use the clevis hooks to attach to the Andersen kingpin adaptor, would that matter? Seems that in order to hook the clevis to the pop-up attachment points in my bed is going to be difficult because the trailer will need to be on the Andersen Ultimate Hitch at that point, correct? Hard to get under there at that point. Am I missing something?
