When looking at trailer wiring there is no standard for wire color and function. To determine the functions of the wires there are a couple of things you can do. First, you can trace each of the wires from the connector back to where it ends on the trailer. Sometime this is not possible if the wiring is mostly internal to the frame.
The other method is to touch each of the wires to the positive side of a separate 12 volt battery and see what powers on.
Once you know the functions of the wires I recommend labeling them so it is easier to figure out in the future. Then all you would have to do is match of the functions with proper locations on a 7-Way trailer connector # PK12706. I have linked some videos and help articles that should help along with a picture. Remember to focus on functions and not the colors.
