Installing Brake Controller on 2010 Ford E450 Class C Motorhome
Question:
Will this unit and wiring harness work with a 2010 Ford E450 C class motorhome? The part number shows for the Ford Van and the F350,450,550 but will it plug into the Ford E450 motorhome chassis? I would like to be able to just plug into instead of tapping into the wires to get the unit to work. Thanks

If the Motorhome has a 4-pole or a 7-way trailer connector on the rear, the port for installing the brake controller should be located under the dash to the right of the steering column.
If the port is present, the Prodigy 2 and the # 3034-P wiring package will work just fine.
If the motorhome only has a 4-pole connector, the brake output circuit has not been ran from the connector under the dash to the trailer connector. You will need to cut the blue wire on the # 3034P harness and run it to the rear of the vehicle. A 4-pole to 7-way adapter like part # 37185 will need to be used. The blue wire exiting the If you need the 12-volt accessory circuit to provide power for any trailer mounted accessories, that circuit will need to be ran from the trailer connector to the positive battery terminal via a 40 amp inline circuit breaker like part # 9510.
If there is no trailer connector, you will have to hardwire the brake controller using a Brake Controller Install Kit, part # ETBC7.
I will link you to our brake controller install guide, as well as an install video that will walk you through the process. The video shows a brake controller being installed on a different vehicle, but the procedure would be the same.
