I am trying to install a hayes lemmerz energize 3 in a 2012 suburban with a tow package. Need a adapter to fit suburban to controller.

The adapter you are looking for is the # HA81789-HBC.

This universal harness will need to be hardwire installed for your 2012 Chevrolet Suburban. Hayes does not offer a wiring harness that will plug into the brake controller port under the dash, if your vehicle has one. Your vehicle should only have blunt cut wires for the brake controller, because this is the way GM made the vehicle.
