Recommendation for Moving Fifth Wheel Trailer One Time with a Short Bed Truck with Gooseneck

Question:

Ive got a 2006 dodge 2500 4x4 stock short bed with a gooseneck. I purchased a 1998 38 ft fifthwheel sea breeze that came with a trailboss 15 k hitch. -no rails. Do yall have an adapter that will work with gooseneck? I have owned a fifth wheel and used an adapter on this truck but this Rv has hitch pin did under the front . My old one was sticking out. Any ideas? Lowest cost? I got to pick up by Saturday and travel 40 miles and Rv will stay there rest of its life. Thank you!

Without knowing what gooseneck hitch you have the best option I can recommend would be to use the Convert a Ball Adapter part # CAB-C5GX1216 since you only need to move the trailer the one time. This will install on the fifth wheel pin box and will allow your trailer to connect to the gooseneck hitch in the bed of your truck.

You should note that you aren't going to be able to make any tight turns since your truck has a short bed. But for a short trip, and if you are careful and cautious, the Convert A Ball will be the best option.
