Can Gooseneck and Fifth Wheel Hitch Be Installed in Truck Bed At Same Time

Question:

Can I put my 5th wheel custom frame bracket behind my custom goose neck frame bracket so I can have both my hide away goose neck and 5th wheel or do they make a bracket for such an application

There is not a bracket kit that would allow both a fifth wheel and a gooseneck hitch to be installed together, however there are solutions that might allow you to swap back and forth, depending on what you currently have installed.

If you have nothing installed in your truck bed at this time, you can use the # RP30035 kit you mentioned to install 5th wheel rails. Install the 5th wheel into the rails when needed, and when you need to tow a gooseneck, remove the fifth wheel and install an adapter plate like the Reese # RP58079. The plate will fit in industry-standard fifth wheel bed rails like those from Reese, Draw-Tite, Curt, Husky and Valley.

If you currently have a gooseneck hitch installed, there are options depending on the manufacturer of the gooseneck hitch you have. If you have a B and W turnover ball, a Curt or Bulldog, Reese or Draw-Tite Gooseneck, there is an option available.

If you would care to reply with some more information for me, I would be happy to help. Knowing the bed length of your truck and whether its a 1500, 2500 or 3500 would be helpful. Knowing what you have existing in your truck bed would be helpful. If you have a gooseneck hitch installed, I will need to know the manufacturer and model number of the hitch. The more information you can provide, the better.

@One I'm assuming you have a Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra. What model year is it?
