Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2011 Dodge Dakota with 4-Way
Question:
I am looking for a electric brake system for my 2011 dodge Dakota quad cab with a big horn package it did come with a 4 pin trailer plug is there a plug and play system available for my truck ? any information with part numbers and all hardware needed would be greatly apprieciated.

The only plug and play brake controller fit we have for a 2011 Dodge Dakota would be for if the truck had a factory 7-way. Since you only have a 4-way you would have to hardwire the controller in with the # ETBC7 kit which will convert the 4-way to a 7-way and will allow for the install of your brake controller.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
