Best Mounting Location for SMI Air Force Braking Controller SM99243 in 2015 Ford F-150 Platinum
Question:
I have a 2015 F150 platinum with a 3.5L Ecoboost. I want to find a place to install the Air Force One operating unit, but am not having much luck. I viewed a video you made of a 2014, but my grill stays in place unlike the one you did. Have you ever installed on this model, and if so do you remember where? Thank you in advance

My technical contact at SMI was quite familiar with your installation question that concerns your non-removable front grille. In trucks like your 2015 F-150 Platinum the best location to install the SMI Air Force controller unit is right on top of the plastic cover over the engine intake. This cover can be drilled to allow mounting of the controller and then be re-installed.
