Do Rivets Need to Be Supplied When Installing Draw Tite Hitch 75600 on a 2012 BMW X5
Question:
I am looking to purchase the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch for a 2012 BMW X5 35i. I noted that the instructions were updated for the 2011 model and later for the bumper removal, but I noted in one of the description it says that the blind rivets supplied wont work for models after 2010. Has this been changed? Are there plastic rivets supplied that will work with my model? if not what is the OEM part number I would need to look up to get them?

The Draw Tite Hitch part # 75600 has been confirmed as a fit for your 2012 BMW X5 but for models after the 2011 year will have to obtain new push rivets from a BMW dealer.
The supplied ones will not work unfortunately.
I attached an install video that shows this hitch being installed in a 2012 X5 just like yours.
