How to Pick Out an Equalizer Hitch for a Toy Hauler Towed by Ford F-150
Question:
My current toy hauler Weekend Warrior FK1900 has a GVWR of 7650 lbs that I am pretty close to when I tow. However, I am looking at upgrading to a bigger toy hauler in the next year or so, closer to the max of my truck 2014 F150, 3.5 Liter Eco Boost with tow package at 11,300. Can I use the EQ37120ET on my current trailer at GVWR of 7650 lbs without too many drawbacks, issues, or problems? And what are the issues, and drawbacks and how severe would they be to stability, sway, and ride comfort etc...?

The tongue weight range the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37120ET is designed to work with is 800 to 1,200 lbs. You didn't list the tongue weight of either trailer, but if the tongue weights do fall somewhere in that range this system would work well.
Going with a system rated too low would make the WD ineffective, and going too high would cause the ride to be very harsh.
The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.
Once you know your tongue weight you will want to check out the link I attached that has all of the weight distribution systems we carry. You will be able to select your tongue weight from the filters to see what would be rated for your setup.
