Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2002 BMW 330i for Bike Rack Install
Question:
Hello, So far all the trail hitches for a 2002 BMW 330i I searched are available only as a 1.25inch receiver. I see there are 2inch adapters that can be used on the Curt 11174 1.25 trailer hitch to accommodate bike racks having two inch. However, I am concerned with the rigidity amount of play there may be using an adapter. Therefore, was looking to see if theres a 2inch trailer hitch available that would be suitable and installable on my vehicle. Thank you.

The Curt hitch part # C11174 has been confirmed as a fit for your 2002 BMW 330i and is the only style of hitch we offer for your vehicle. The 2 inch hitches are reserved for larger vehicles like SUVs and trucks.
Your best option is going to be a hitch bike rack confirmed to fit a Class I hitch like this.
The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack part # S64670. This rack has a ton of positive reviews from our customers who have tried it. Check out the review video I attached for more info.
Curt requires the use of their stabilizer strap part # 18050 when using their hitch to carry a non-supported load like a bike rack. I attached a review video for you to check for the strap as well.
